From year to year in the summer – the same thing: millions of people in the heat catch cold from conditioners in cars, offices, and apartments. Finally, to avoid this and not to stay at home with a cold and sore throat, we asked the doctors. After talking with them, we made a simple reminder of how to use the air conditioner correctly.
Do not lower the temperature below 22 degrees
In the warm season, the optimum air temperature in the room is 22-25 degrees. Even if you want to cool quickly, do not lower it below that. The permissible corridor is from 20 degrees to 28. Everything outside of it will already harm your health.
Use humidifiers
As told by air conditioner manufacturer companies in India, air conditioners dry the air strongly, the humidity in the room decreases greatly below the optimal rate of 60-65%, and as a result, dryness causes discomfort in the mucous membranes (eyes, nose, and throat).
In a closed room, you can get sick from other things.
In an Unventilated room, you cannot get sick from the air conditioner, but, say, from a virus or infection. Or you may become allergic to fine dust in a closed room.
Do not create drafts
Draft – in principle, a bad idea, and open windows and doors during operation of the air conditioner is definitely not worth it. In the heat, your immunity is weakened so much that it increases the risk of developing infectious diseases, and the draft insidiously acts only on a certain part of the body, and your immune system can “forget” to activate protective mechanisms there. As a result, this leads to hypothermia and inflammation. In addition, the directional flow of cold air can lead to other unpleasant consequences, such as muscle spasm.
Avoid sudden temperature changes.
It should gradually reduce the temperature in the room, and not turn on the air conditioner immediately to a minimum after you, hot, entered from the street. The smaller the difference between the temperatures inside and outside, the less stress for the body and, therefore, the lower the risk of exacerbation of chronic diseases, such as tonsillitis. And if at the same time you drink an iced drink, you will make it worse.
In short, you need to endure the desire to quickly cool down, and set the temperature at 24-25 degrees, at least first, so that your body can adapt normally.
At night, set a special mode.
At night, it is worth setting the temperature to 25 degrees. In a dream, the body temperature is physiologically reduced, and the discomfort that exists when falling asleep disappears. According to air conditioner manufacturers in India, you should not sleep at all without a blanket, keep at least a thin sheet.
If your air conditioner has a night mode, be sure to choose it. And if not, choose a mode in which air circulates under the ceiling or is directed to a wall opposite from the sleeper so that the cool air is dissipated. In no case should not direct airflow towards yourself. Children, no matter how hot they are, should sleep in their pajamas and nightgowns.
